MAN I LOVE THIS SITE!:headbang::yahoo: im a member on other ranger forums but i stumbled upon this site and read the guide on "how to install belltech 6400 shackles". Ive been wanting to lift my truck a bit, but never got on it because i didnt know how hard it was.

Anyway i think ill lift it now. But have a question, ill get those shackles, but i want to lift the front 2in too. How do i do that? Will 2in stress anything out?

:icon_cheers:

Welcome to TRS!!!

2" is the recomended lift height for 2wd rangers, that way u wont stress the parts that much.
a 2" coil spacer will work for that.
a lift spindle kit would be good too.

make sure u get taller shocks too, or the ride will become bumpy due to the shock reaching the travel limit on bumps and such.

will the shackles and a 2" spacer up front not work?

Longer shocks would be nice and alignment will be necessary if you need you tires to last a long time.

ok do i NEED them though? im not going to be jumping the truck, just onroad with a little of offroad stuff.

From what I've read, no. You can do without, just as long as you can live with limited travel and a rough ride.

on IFS is higly recomemded u get taller shocks trust me, it feels when the shock reaches the travel limit even on slight bumps.

basically the front is where ull need em more.
im runing the same shocks i had when stock hegiht on the rear and the work fine.
the front is where u need em to have more travel.
sorry i have no link, but the 4x4 spec shocks would work fine.

bringing a dead thread up.. Anyone got a link to the shocks i could use?

i guess another question too. I have 110k miles on my shocks/springs. I was told if i got new springs it would raise it 2in? Well i wouldnt need new longer shocks then would i?

not exaclty ull lift it with new springs. it might go up a lil bit, but not the whole 2"

if u keep the springs stock size u wont need larger shocks
