Does anyone know how to sit the intake straight down, scooting the intake into place will damage gasket. It sits under firewall about 1/3.

@cbxer55 i know you have intake experience on the 5.4L. Any tips to help get that intake to drop straight down for my pops?
@adsm08 ? @19Walt93 ?

@Buddy_vail hopefully somebody will respond. Some of these people actually have jobs that keep them away from a computer.

It can be done, it's just tricky.

You have to set the gasket in, then hold the intake as high as you can while you move it under the cowl. I usually hold them by the fuel rails.

When I think I'm over and set the intake down only to discover I like about a half inch off, will I be able to pick it up and move it the rest of the way. Last year when I replaced the lower manifold, I had to move it , I knew I wasn't supposed to, I put about 1200 miles on it, it just started skipping while I was driving.

Yeah, you just can't slide it. You have to pick it up and move it.
