I'm thinking about trying to convert my 4x4 to coilovers from the crappy ifs it has. How much drop can the dana ifs handle? I'm not looking for an extreme drop or anything but would like to lower it a bit to maybe stock 2wd height if possible.

well if you dont need 4x4, you could pull the shafts and remove the front pumpkin. (i think) but on a regular basis probably not a whole lot. im sure it would be fine on 2wd height, its only about 1-2 inches drop.

Well yes i still do want the 4x4 so i can get through the snow, but i shouldn't be seeing any trails.
