If you were a top notch mechanic with a tits shop, how fast could you R&R the transfercase in a 97 Suburban 2500 ??? (Backstory) Installed TC after infamous TC pump wear thru, all went well except I failed to install vent line, it was 8PM and I was beat. Boss took it for oil change next day, Quickie Lube saw "leak" , sent him to trans shop. They said I effed up the trans seal or gasket. Did this on my back using a motorcycle lift for trans jack. Reason I ask is because I had to use curved obstruction wrench, no room for socket , therfore I don't think they could have R&R it in the 1 - 1 1/2 hour that he was there. Couple tattle-tale things were the two different head mount bolts were still same (50-50%) , biggest was "loop" I put in wire harness right below case was still the same afterwards. So the question is " Did my boss get hosed ?":icon_confused: I don't think they did $hit but hook up vent hose.
