Hello,
I am new here and i have just had my 5 speed trans fixed and a new clutch put in my truck.
my problem is that before i had the work done my 4x4 worked great no problems at all. but after i got my truck back the 4x4 light on the dash flashes and when i turn the 4x4 switch nothing happens no click or anything.
i have checked all fuses and the switch and also the elect shift motor, it wasnt getting any power to the orange wire to the motor.I checked all this by reading the information on this great site you have here.
i now have located the modual on the passanger side kick panel and have also found a little box with a red button on top net to the modual on the left.
i am stuck and need help on what to do next thanks for any advice you may have.

i am trying everything i have read so far but running out of options

CHeck out the following link. It explains how to test the entire wire harnesses and explains the pinouts at all ends.

This might need to be added to the tech library I found this on the web a few months ago. This is currently on my webserver.

do you here a clicking comming from the ecm when you turn the switch? if you don't, you probably have a bad ecm. I've heard that sometimes disconnecting the battery can fry the module. (weird I know)
