I'm getting a rumble about the same amplitude as a drive shaft/u-joint at about 40 mph when decelerating in 4th. of 5th. gear only. I've had the drive shaft out & manipulated the u-joints. All good there. Diff input shaft tight & no metal on drain plug. No metal on trans drain plug ether. Anybody go here before?

mine does that sometimes in 5th gear only. I am also interested in the cause.

I have the same vibration on my '91 with the m5od. Only seems to happen at highway speed at deceleration in fifth. I figured it had something to do with the 2 piece d/shaft.

I think it is the syncros, but I thought they would just let it pop out of gear.
