gentlemen, it's been too long since i've had a play toy hot rod. i'm considering swapping in a 4.6 ford mod motor into my 2.3L ranger. do any of you have any experience with this one? things i'm thinking about are: what year engine/transmission would you advise? any unusually difficult things you ran across installing, wiring it up, pcm's, any other surprise's? i would like to achieve a stock appearance with very good road manner's and good driveability. suspension upgrades are also an issue i'm not sure about. an 8" ford rear axle with 3.55 gears should serve quite well. tell me about your experience's!
