97 Mercury Mountaineer with 6 speed?

Hey guys, I have a 00 ford ranger with a 97 mercury mountaineer v8 5.0L auto tranny and I want to put a 6 speed in it but I can't find anywhere that would sell a tranny that would hook up to that engine. If anyone could send me some Internet sites or numbers or something that would help. I live in Cleveland Ohio so preferably something around that area.

If you want to keep it AWD you might be up a crick.

Surely somebody made something aftermarket for a 5.0 Mustang if you want to drop the $$ assuming you want a manual and want to go to 2wd (or already 2wd)

you can get a 4wd NV5600 from high impact gear.


alot of work to custom fit a T-case to a tremec 6spd unless you want to run a Divorced T-case
