My '93 Ranger's electronic 4X4 system is pretry messed up. I want to just switch to a manual transfer case. Can someone verify if a '97 transfer case will fit my '93 Ranger? Thanks. Im a little unclear on which years are compatible.

BW1350 and 1354 are interchangeable, but read here: http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68654

Front drive line needs to be changed.

Also Rangers lost speedometer cables in 1995, '95 and up use speed sensors and electronic speedometers, and on 4x4s the transfer case has speedometer cable hookup, so..................
Not sure if a '97 can be refitted with speedo worm gear, or has the hole for the cable gear

So a pre-1995 BW1354 might be better option, speedo cable hook up

Here are some "what was in what year" lists: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/TransferCases.shtml

OP should have a 1354, not a 1350.

'90-'97 BW1354 cases are identical as far as fitment goes ('98 is when the speedo was moved to the rear axle sensor). A '97 t-case should fit no problem in a '93 truck.

Thanks for the responses guys. I got the transfer case and all the goodies that go with it. I'm out of town right now, but I look forward to putting it in as soon as I get back home!
