I just bought this truck and wanted to put a body lift and a suspension lift but no one sells a body lift for a 97. I was wondering if a body lift for a 94 would work or does a newer would work.

Body lifts are prettymuch universal. I'd look for 1995-2001 though.

Hell, you can even make one. Weld up some pipe and washers. Don't go higher than 3" though.

What really makes a body lift vehicle specific, is all the little components in the kit, other than the lift blocks. Things like steering extension, e-brake bracket, bumper brackets, things like that.

My guess on why there is no '97 body lift is because of front and/or rear bumper brackets. I'm not saying that is it, but that is my guess. And I'd have to agree with Koda in that you'd probably be better looking for a 95-01 body lift. They changed Explorers A LOT in 95.
