97 Explorer JBL stereo questions

Hey guys, I picked up a stock JBL deck and speakers at the yard the other day. I want to put this deck in my 97 Ranger, but only one of the 2 plugs on the back of the deck matches. The only thing I could think of was because it's got the matching JBL speakers, and the harness is different? If that's the case, are the speaker plugs different from the stock speakers to the JBL speakers?

If anyone knows how to rewire the plug, or knows of a wiring diagram that will tell me what is what, that would be great.

Also, if this turns out to be more work than I care to do, does anyone want this deck? The surround with 4WD and other controls is also not needed here, if anyone needs that right now.

And at the same time, does anyone have a CD deck they don't want anymore? I wouldn't mind having that in there.

I believe one plug is for the regular speakers and power and stuff and the other goes to an amp for the speakers or it goes to the stock CD changer that is located somewhere else in the explorer.

Looks like you picked up a regular Cassette radio with the option of a CD player but doesn't have one in the actual unit. I would say keep your stock stereo if it has CD, if not I would stay away from "factory premium" stereo equipment, its usually not much of an upgrade.

Yea, I dug around this site more and found the answers to all my questions. This deck needs the stock external amp that I didn't get from the donor. I saw the CD changer there too, but I have no need for that.

So you were just looking for the cassette player?
