Yes I'm new to fords and Ford prices.and honestly it's been 5 years since I took a torch to anything to make it fit like factory..
So I can pick up complete year end from a97 explorer with 225000 km (135000 miles) the door code for the axle is 42 which should be 4:10 gears conventional. I get everything disk to disk,Ebrake cables.
Is that a fair price? 175$ out the door.

(I'm in BC Canada )

Yea, that sounds like a pretty "fair" deal.

FWIW, I paid $200 for my 4.10 open carrier axle with 45,000 miles on it complete rotor to rotor here in Pa.

sounds good to me, i paid $150 for 96 EX 8.8 with 373's and a L/S

I'll scoop it up then.. Thanks for the info.

Do it. I got screwed over in Ohio after looking and calling for axles for a month. After a month of checking, the best I found was a 7.5 open 3.73 for $175 AFTER bartering.

Do it, I can't find factory 4.10's in my area.

Sent from the road while ignoring traffic

that's fair if its not a u-pull-it junkyard...
I know I can get them for $70 or so complete if the junkyard has any, but I have to pull it and wheelbarrow it out of there lol
