Hi guys, bad luck for me my truck won't start today after being driven for 2 hrs and parked yesterday. Its a 97 4.0 manual 2wd with 144kms (90k miles). Its also parked 2 levels underground. sucks

-Turns over fine, although battery is dying after many attempts
-have switched around most relays, and no avail
-checked fuses, all look fine
*was playing with the IAC this weekend, cleaned it and oiled the needle valve and removed the little filters
-oil pressure rises fine when turning over

I cant tell if its getting fuel. doesnt seem like it, but not sure how to check the fuel pump cuz i think its in the gas tank?

I'm pretty handy with an electrical tester, and basic mechanics.. any suggestions and i'll run down and check

**oh and i made sure the fuel shut-off is ok, seems like the red button is depressed as normal.

Thanks in advance!

worked on it till 1am... still no luck.

-It appears to be charging the fuel system as when you turn the key to on and press your ear against the fuel tank you can hear the pump briefly, as well the bleeder on the fuel rail squirts a bit after you charge it. Tank reads just und half with 350kms on this tank, so that sounds about right (although it would be sad if it was just out of fuel)
-all the lights, check engine light and all seem to light fine on the dash when key is on
-IAC might be working, when you turn the key and look at the needle valve it seems to move 1/16" or so...not alot? dunno if thats right
-switching the relays under the hood and switching the diodes around doesnt seem to do anything either.

-Sounds 100% normal, just sounds out of gas. Guess i'll check that tomorrow when I'll have it towed into be serviced.

I'll keep you updated... It better not just be a faulty fuel gauge, but that wouldnt match the trip meter i set every fill-up....hmm, guess tomorrow will tell.

Ended up having a diagnostic, it was the ignition coil, dunno why it would go overnight, but it did and now its all better.
