97 3.0 clutch

ok So the clutch in my truck has about 40,000 on it its aftermarket guy before me had it put in but it is super easy to push in easiest clutch i have ever used and it releases almost all the way at the top what should i do put a new clutch in or what some times it will grind alittle when shifting in 2 or reverse

Sounds like your slave is in great shape but the friction material may be slightly worn.

I wouldn't touch it until it starts slipping.

Hydraulic clutches are supposed to be easy.

Grinding is usually a problem inside the transmission (synchros) and MAY be cured by changing the fluid to synthetic ATF / MerconV. MO5D trannies are known to grind when you shift quickly from 2 to 3.

i know that hydraulic clutchs are suppose to be easy to push but this one is really easy i have a 92 ranger 2.3 and the clutch is alot harder to push down and my friend has a 93 4.0 the clutch is just as hard as the 92 and i have been in a few more ranger and none are even close to as easy as mine it just seems like something is warn out or something is messed up

If its still going into gear, and clutch isn't slipping. Don't mess with it. And do Not Put Mercon V in your tranny. I know thats what ford recommends, but it really made my truck shift even harder. Put either Synchromesh fluid in there, or some Regular Dex/Merc fluid.
