I inherited my dad's ranger with appx 190,000 on it. I have tuned it, cleaned everything that I can clean, and done the timing belt. Idle speed is in line. Motor mounts are at least not broken (no engine lift/noise etc). It idles so rough that the dash and sterring wheel vibrates. Can the motor mounts be hardened causing normal vibration to get thru? This is my winter ride and has some sentimental value. Currently has 221,000 miles. Gets great mileage and burns no oil at all. There is a little oil blow-by accumulating in the intake tube but it does have 221,000 miles and never been into the motor itself. Want to start cleaning up dings and repaint come spring time but don't want it so shake all the bolts loose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
