Hello Ranger people, I just recently bought a white ranger xl 1996 single cab long bed, it’s auto 4cyl. Was used for a painting company prior now it’s a future daily. Well I’m just wanting to find out if anyone has had the ac not blow cold air, dome light out and the windshield wipers not functioning?

I like the black grill ..)

- The dome light, check the bulb and the fuse to the circuit.
- A/C, when mine started not being icy cold, I took it to be recharged, that lasted another 5-6 years. After that I lived in a less hostile environment, so I removed the belt and enjoyed greater fuel economy.
- the windshield wiper system...OY! Hopefully it's the fuse. If not and you are mechanical inclined, just shoot it out. If you are not into resolving super tedious hard to reach, jamef in a little and inconvenient location issues...hire a reputable, fair mechanic.

welcome!!!

that thing will hopefully get super duper gas mileage.

the wiper deal sounds like no fun to fix though. hopefully its just a fuse or a bad switch or something small

@gaz hit it pretty good but for the wipers id like to add if the truck sat a while you might wanna check and make sure the wiper linkages arent just stuck. The motors dont have alot of torque to them lol.

My 87's wipers didnt work when i got it and the linkages were frozen up. I soaked the pivots under the cowl in wd40 and turned the switch on and (gently) helped them along by hand untill they got good and free.

Yea that might be the thing but would it make a sound of some sort or click? Like trying to engage the windshield wipers
