I have a 96 Ranger with what I believe are the factory wheels on them. I have 225/75 R15 tires on them now. I am looking into getting some different wheels for it. I have my eye on a nice set of ford replacement wheels from a local salvage yard.

I was wondering what is the maximum size wheel I can put on my truck. The wheels are from a Mustang but I cant be sure what year.

Any help would be great!!

Thanx !!

Do you mean maximum width or maximum diameter?
Pretty much any Mustang wheel will fit but some of them will require either spacers or some hammer work on the grease cap for the front to seat properly.
15", 16", 17" are all fine, the widest I think you'll find in a Mustang wheel is 8" although some of the Cobras might have 9". The larger and wider Mustang wheels have more backspace than what looks good on a Ranger, so you might look at getting .75" to 1.0" spacers all around.
