I'm pretty green when it comes to knowing what year ranger parts are interchangable... I know that my ranger is in the 93-97 era, but I've seen and heard of guys using newer model parts on their 96 rangers. I am curious if there is anyone, or a site, to list which parts can bolt on from new year rangers?? Like doors, seats, mirrors, tailgate, grills lights etc. I searched the tech. library and came across the seat stuff, but that was it. I seen a guy put 2001 bucket seats in their 97 ranger, said he bolted them right in?

Thanks in advance for any info guys! CLUELESS!

93-current front doors/firewall back is the same 100% minus wiring , 95 switch to the current dash that is used and 93-94 use the gen 2 dash

as for your being a gen 3, you can upgrade the grill and light to a gen 4 just need 98+ fenders, and radiator support(body mount bolts don't match up so a little work there), then the grill and everything from a 98+ ranger will bolt on after that, the front bumper from a 98+ requires some work to get it on though since the frame horns are different

major difference, front frame on 84-97 is ttb and 98 is IFS, 93-97 regular cab is like 2 inches shorter give or take than the 98+regular cab., then wiring between, but thats a given between different years.

almost anything from the '98+ Rangers or the '95-'01 Explorers can be adapted to work in a '95-'97 Ranger.

I installed the following Explorer and Ranger part in my '97 STX:
- '00 Explorer EATC (Electronic Temperature Control)
- '00 Explorer power leather seats
- '06+ Ranger mirrors
- '04 Ranger Pioneer center console
- '06 Ranger cd6/mp3 radio
- '06+ Ranger tail lights
- '00 Explorer Sport gauges
- '00 Explorer radio bezel
- '00 Explorer Limited steering wheel

Those are just a few of the many I used.

Great info guys! These are the things I've been kicking around. I'm finding more newer model Rangers in the yards then later... THANKS AGAIN! Time to get to work I guess!!!!
