96 ranger engine swapping

can anyone help me here i have a 1996 ford ranger xl 4x4 and it has a 3 liter with auto trans in it .i would like to know what is the best route to go for putting a new motor in it ,would like something bigger but not looking at doing to much revamping would like something thats a quick drop in with out the hassel of revamping alot of wiring and stuff
