I have been having to put clutch fluid in reservoir every couple of days. My clutch would go flat then the second I added more fluid it would work perfect again. any suggestions.

sounds like the slave cylinder is going.. or there is a leak somewhere... these 93-97 rangers hate slave cylinders.. unfortunately they are in the tranny, so you have to pull the tranny..

my 93 was hard going into gear sometimes even just driving down the road.. i had to double clutch every shift up or down..

yeah, thats a bad slave. Mine did the exact same thing when the slave went bad (91 tranny).

That could be a leak anywhere. You just need to find out where it is leaking and replace that part.

thanks

Thanks If that is the case ill proly not replace it I have 210000 miles on it as it is............NEW RANGER:D

look under the truck to see if brake fluid is running out of the transmission, also check for the master cylinder leaking down the firewall or into the cab behind the pedals

I think it might possibly be a line I had a friend try to fix it hopefully that works

youd be lucky if it was a line...i just pulled a tranny yesterday to change a slave....not a fun job. Why on earth didnt ford just give us a cable clutch like they did with the mustangs?

I hate cables. I know that's just my opinion, but I still hate them.

I wish they'd given us the heavy duty external slave like Jeep put on the Wranglers.

as much as i hate driving a manual in traffic... i'll keep my manual.. course there's a few times where i wanted an auto but it gets boring real fast...

haha i took my truck to a shop to get my slave cyl fixed... didnt have the time or patience or the proper tools for the job... dad and i tried then i said piss on it took it to a shop.. granted it was around 1000.00 bucks for the slave, labour, a couple bolts, couple clutch plates...
