96 Ranger 3.0L Coated Front Disk Recommendation

The races that come with rotors are usually the cheapest available and of sometimes questionable quality steel and possibly at angles that might not match the bearing angle of whatever bearings you put in them. They just come with the two outer races, the inner bearing races are on the bearings.

I don't know the cotter pin size, a simple kit like THIS should work

There can be vast differences between 2 bearing manufacturers individual parts and the sum total of those parts.

As an example, I recently changed my driver front to a Timken bearing. The cheap bearing that was in there actually had play between the inner raced and the spindle. The new one didn't.

I tried to use O'Reilly's Masterpro brand on the rear. The outer race was fine, but the roller retainer was so weak that roller fell out when I went to put it in. National was fine.

I have never had a Timken bearing fail right away from anything other than pure negligence on my part but off brands have many times. SKF and National are sometimes good alternatives but you have to look close at those. I've had National boxes that said "Made in China" and they had a part inside that was clearly marked "Made in USA"... never the opposite though. Makes you wonder if it is knockoff junk.

I don't know what size cotter pin you need. I have a box of assorted sizes and just pick the closest to what was in there to begin with.
