So i am now thinking i if i get a computer out of an 01 ranger that i shoud be all good can any buddy help me by chance

Asking question in just one place is more likely to get answer than shotgun approach.

The easiest solution is to get a 4r44e or 4r55e out of '96 Ranger.

You might be able to make the 5r55e work with computer out of '98 Ranger with 3.0, along with transmission wiring from same. And you may have to rewire truck harness to update wiring pin out from '96 to '98.

'01 computer will have PATS, so won't even allow you to start the truck much less run the transmission unless you either a. get PATS deleted in the computer or b. add the PATS to your '96 - install PATS module, wiring, have the correct key for PATS and computer modules. (And you need the correct wiring from computer to transmission.

Note: I have not had a lot of success moving automatic transmission from one generation of Ranger to another...

The transmission will have to come from behind a 3.0 as well. That bellhousing bolt pattern is exclusive to the 3.0. The Explorer would have had a 4.0, so you can't use that.

It came out oh 98 ford explore 5.0 v8 whitch is same belhousing as thd 4.0 yes it does not match the 3.0. I did switch belhousing but could not swith the pump that is what made me look into to it more yes you can change bellhouseing possibly i have also drive down the road it runn pretty good minus the od light flashing and the gears are all in different spots lol it good i want to finish and keep it this way if possible lol better fuel mileage if it works out i think less were on trans also i think

A 5.0 would have had a 4R70W transmission, and definitely doesn't have the same bolt pattern as any Ranger engine.
