The retaining plates for the leaf springs are getting tired on my '96 Ranger but the part seems to be discontinued, at least the part number F2TZ-5796A. Is there a replacement part available, aftermarket or OEM? Or perhaps a plate from a different car that fits?

Man, what are you doing that you wore those out?

Almost any one off any Ranger should work, regardless of year. But if you are in Europe hitting up a yard probably isn't going to yield much.

Oddly enough, one side is quite badly rusted and indeed, Rangers aren't the most common car in the union but I'll have a look around.

Thanks, that's just what I needed.
