Yes I did a search first.
I have a 96 ranger that I would like to level the front with 2" lift springs.
Now I have 1 friend who has had 2 rangers in this body style and another friend who has had 1 ranger in this body style.
Consitering the kind of off road drivin I like to do. (I often push it to the limits while avoiding damage) They both claim that the stock shocks are too short for the stock springs and that lift specific shocks are usually too short as well(2" lift shocks are too short for a 2" lift). But niether can tell me what to use as they both went with 6" lift and then went to f-250 shock towers and a lot longer shocks.
I couldnt find anyone here on the ranger station with simular experiance. I dont want to top out shocks after I level it.
Now I could get the springs installed, and without shocks take the time to go out and flex the truck, and use my trusty tape measure to figure it out, then order the shocks I need, then wait for a week because I only get 1 day off a week. But I was hoping someone here could tell me something I dont know. You know something simple like "use 4" lift shocks on a 2" lift"
So what say the experts here?
Thanks in advance.
