I just purchased a 1996 Ford Explorer Limited, with Climate control and rear air. The climate control works excellent for the air, changes vents and blower motor speed fine when the inside of the truck cools down. However, if you turn the climate control to max (90 degrees) it still seems to blow cold air. Colder than the ambient air outside of the truck, leading me to believe it is caused by the climate control system, not the heater core or any other heating elements under the hood.
Both hoses to the heater core are hot to touch, and appears to be working fine.
Hope somebody else has had this problem and can lend a helping hand.
