96 4" lift and freshened interior

whats the new console from? looks like my 2001 ex but without the message centre display.

The consol was from a 96 Ex so it matches the color of my interior and has no display. It worked great. I was also able to intall it quite easily. I used the bracket from the ex and simply lengthened two holes for the back and put in two screws in the middle. The front lined up with the factory bracket perfectly. The only potentialy bad thing is that my passenger air bag is now under my consol, however the holder piece in the front comes off very eaily with a flat screwdriver( it just clips in ) so if i still have this truck when i have kids i can turn it off lol...and ill take more pics of the bumper tonight. What do you want to see?

Try relocating the switch to inside the glovebox maybe?

Okay... I stayed up till 1.50 tonight working and i started at 12 this morning so a good work day. i did however stop for dinner, and had to help my dad do some bogus stuff.Any way i got my trans out and found a cool destroyed fly wheel. I had tried to turn it before but it didnt go. However i still think the trans mite be bad.... The torque convertor will not come out of the trans. Can any one tell me why this is ? or if there is a trick?? every trans ive seen it comes rite out, not rocket science lol.... I opened the pan and it isnt dirty so i have no idea. I took pics of how to do a trans removal but im not sure if i should deo a write up or not. Any thoughts? As of now thwe 5r is going in because i have no idea about the removed trans. Considering i cant get a new flywheel until monday i begain putting the lift kit on today. I got the rear compleatly done and removed the springs in the front and got the passenger side drop bracket on before my mom told me that i had to come inside or she would beat me. I also found out that i need alllllll new brakes. The rear right is sooooo bad that its almost through the metal on the pad and some tension cable broke. Im not even sure it worked. The disks pads are almost down to metal as well. that is going to be alot of expence that i didnt really want.......o well. Any way here are some pics.

If you want a frontal where you can see the windshield ill have to get that tomorrow. Howevee if not there is one where i origionaly posted bumper pics.

I'd really get rid of those stacked blocks in the rear. Maybe swap in a set of explorer leafs, and maybe some belltech shackles to get rid of them.

I'm sure he is...which is why he said "ew, stacked blocks".

dude that bumper looks good on there....you should look for a grill off the same era the bumper came off and see it you can fit it in there nicely. Might have to trim some metal away above the bumper there tho.

yea i want to do something for the grill. we will see lol.. and im going to change the axle but down the line a little. i want to get thr truck driving and then ill do smething lol.... thinking 63" chevy leafs and shackels depending on how much lift it gives. i need to research. Later tonight the lift will be finished.....hopefully.... and trans going in....

um looks like you need more than just rear brakes. either you have an axle seal leakin or the slave cylinders are leakin. there should not be that much grease all over your rear shoes

Yea i know. I need drums, rotors, brake hardware, self adjusters, the cylinders in back and all new pads. The front is just worn bad but the back is dead.

Okay so here is tonights progress. I just took some pictures before i had to come up so there not the best. I measured 40" to the bottom of the plastic trim for the wheel well in the front and 39.5 in the back. ZThat is with the 31's witch are not actualy 31" :/ it looks really good. O and the 31's look soooooooooo small to me lol. i think im going to do a shackel extension to make the back higher. any way tomorow the trans is going in and i will get to see if it runs. I also need to do the brakes but if all goes well it will be going to get inspected very soon.so here are pics.I couldnt get any really good ones because my garage is full..... of stuff... and the lift was in the way
