96 4" lift and freshened interior

Nice truck and awesome work you have done so far. I too began working in the garage with my dad when I was fairly young. As soon as homework was done - to the garage. Keep up the great work . . .

Thanks. Tonight i got it fixed. I only have one picture on my phone so ill have to upload it. It actualy wasnt a bad job except i didnt realise that you had to use the bolt to pull the harmonic ballencer and i didnt have to tool to remove the fan so i had to do some fancy racheting. I took her for a test drive and all works well. Hopefully there are no more stupid things that go wrong and i can concentrate on my lift

well my radiator got a hole in it the other day. i called up places for prices and a new one was like....150. S o iwent to my local junkyard and got one out of a 95 explorer and got it home and compaired..... the explorer is larger... i tried fitting it and it was a no go. I becan looking at the thing and decided i could make it fit... it actualy was easy. I had to cut the drivers side radiator mount in half so the bigger radiator fit in. I also trimed the passenger side rite up to the mount rubber with a grinder. i cut the driver side mount rubber in half to match. It fit in perfectly. The trans lines bolted rite us as well as hoses. the drivers side hose is a little trickey but went. i now have a bigger radiator and its very nice. o and make sure you get the explorer fan shroud. i had to rig up my old one to get my truck back on the road...

this is a great thread. youve gotten alot done in a short amount of time. i have the same ranger your rockin, but mine is a 95, looks exactly the same paint and everything. i am in process of making a 98 explorer 4.0 and tranny work in my ranger. hydrolocked my first 4.0. haha yea never knew that was possible... but it must be so nice having junkyards and a shop with a lift. i go to school here in alaska for automechanics and i have access to a lift, for a few hours on friday..(lame) but i had to wait about 8 months before i found a 4.0 i could buy... anyways great project i hope to have my ranger on 35s here soon. good luck!
