ok. i have a 95 ranger 4.0 5 speed 4x4 with a bad engine. i found a 96 explorer 4.0 auto 4x4 that is running and i can get it cheap. my question is this. im going to keep the 5 speed in the ranger but if i put the 4.0 that had the auto behind it out of the explorer into the ranger will i have to change anything for the engine to run and idle like it is supposed to. i have read that there is something to do with the idle difference between standard and auto trucks. or will the computer take care of that on its on.
