95 ranger SAS. giddy up

haha sorry guys i ran into problems with the brake calipers. make sure the bleeder valves are ALWAYS above the brake line regardless of what side the box says they go to. i bled the system 3 times and went through 2 bottles of fluid before i noticed that they were on the wrong sides. got that fixed and damn do the bigger brakes make a difference. better than my stock 4 piston ranger brakes.

got it aligned today. prolly gonna take it to les schwab on monday and get it aligned properly anyway. it drives real straight doesnt dive at all under hard braking.

the only thing im bummed about is my coils. they ride real nice and all but all my links were built to match up to a compressed 20 inch coil. i was told they were 23in not compressed when i ordered them from skyjacker. when i got them they came in at 21inches. they compressed to 18inches. so my panhard only has 3 inches of uptravel. same with my shocks. very little uptravel. im gonna order new coils next month that will compress to the appropriate 20 inches. so if anyone wants EB coils that are 18 inches compressed ill sell them to you cheap. :)

Looks Good man!! Great job. And you done it in a timely manner as well.

Makes me wanna go cut the leaf springs outta my lil yota, and run some coils on that D44!

Might be a dumb question, but what formula's did you use to figure out the length of everything based on what coils you ran compressed?

Look really nice, makes me want to rip my front end out now and put my D30 under my truck!!!!!!

The ride height looks good - you sure you want it 2" higher, although the back end is slightly higher than the front right now.

Maybe you could bend your panhard just a little to get more uptravel - or a slight notch in the crossmember

looks killer by the way

thanks for all the positive comments guys i really appreciate it!! as far as the rake that it has im going to remove the blocks from the back so it sits level (has 300lbs worth of sand bags in the bed and it STILL has that much rake to it). im ordering my new coils from JBG on monday so if anyone wants these coils on the truck for cheap let me know. im gonna make some new 1 inch blocks with an offset center pin hole to put the rear axle back another inch so it sits centered under the bed.

as far as the formula i used, i didnt have one. i set my axle on jacks at where the coils would have been 20 inches compressed and built the rest from there. everything still worked out well even though its 2 inches lower than i wanted it to be. the only problem is my limited uptravel from the panhard and my shocks. the new coils will fix that though.

i pushed the front axle forward about an inch or so. i didnt want the coils sitting too far forward from the upper bucket location. ill get flex pics once i get the new coils in place.

on monday i need to adjust my caster some more as i had some serious death wobble at about 40 the other night. made my ass pucker for sure. going to order my steering dampener on monday too. id feel more comfortable running one with 35s.

still need to have a front driveshaft made as mine is about 2 inches too short.

all together it took about 8 days worth of work, two weeks total since the rain limited the time i was able to work on it along with working graveyard and going to school.

big thanks to all the forum members here at TRS for all the info to help me get this thing swapped in. and big thanks to Mike at Dunks Performance for all the parts.

I think I might be doing the long arm set-up as it looks easier to do and much better.

do you just adjust the length of the top leg of the "Y" link to change caster?

the top link on the driver side is to adjust caster. correct

So did you finally git rid of the death wobble? If so what was the problem.

yeah i did i had to set the caster back a bit more at 5.5 degrees and she does just fine on the highway at 80 with no dampener. putting in the new coils today after i get off work at 4. ill try to remember to post pictures of the final ride height. EB coils will be for sale soon. anyone interested let me know. ill let them go for 120 shipped. damn near brand new.

So how did you mount your track bar bracket to the frame? Got any pics of it?

I wanna know how you mounted your track bar too. I also noticed that your D30 has a high mount for your track bar mount just like mine but yet I've seen them mounted low to, anybody know what the difference is for or is that just because of the model of vehicle the D30 came out of?

The grand cherokee uses different steering arms and track bar setup. That is why they are different than a XJ or a TJ
