Here is the issue: Heater core was replaced in a 95 ranger 2.3 and upon finishing the job the truck would not crank. starter turns over and all electrical devices function properly, but when you first turn the key you never hear the fuel pump running. all relays and fuses have been checked. any ideas?
Thanks

i think there is a roll over switch under the passenger side dash, at the top of the carpet, theres a little button u push to reset, all it is is a bb in a plastic housing and when it comes in contact with the button the button pops out and the fuel pump stops working.

I tell you, you were working RIGHT THERE in that area, and for the fuel pump to mysteriously not work. I would check the wiring going to the inertia switch. It almost has to be that. All the evidence points that way.

Agreed. Actually test for power coming out of the inertia switch with the key on.
