95 ranger/explorer dash questions

What year explorer dashes will fit in my ranger. its a 95 3.0 ranger. also, how do you hook up the tach if I don't have a factory tach on my ranger? will there be a plug in there that isn't doing anything that will plug in?

since you talking about the tach, i assume your talking about just the gauge cluster, not the whole dash. I think only sport trac clusters will swap over, but it might just be that those are the most common. look around on here, there are plenty of threads on cluster swaps.

if you are refering to the whole dash, i doubt any would fit.

yeah, thats what I meant to say....the gauge cluster. I thought I could use anything 95-97, I just want to make sure before I go hunting for one at the local junk hard

Any '95-'97 with a tach will be a plug and play swap into a Ranger without a factory tach.
