i started this is the 3.0 engine area but now im thinking its a wiring issue my #5 injector is constant on and flooding the cylinder im told that it pulses by the ground switching. well i also noticed that the trip and odometer have both stopped working im not sure if they are related or not and i suck at wiring any suggestions would be helpful i was thinking maybe the ecm but not sure im lost and running outta money so i cant just keep throwing parts at it HELP PLEASE

I would check...

your harness wiring FIRST! Be careful. The heat causes the wiring to become brittle.

checked the harness

i found out my computer was bad so replaced it with one outta the jy although it fixed my injectore issue the odometer is still not working although the speedometer is working? could thAT be a vss? and where is that located also now im noticing the od switch doesnt work so im stuck in od and am getting erratic transmission operation

+1 on checking the wiring good, If you have a intermittent ground or direct short you need to find it fast. The VSS is either in the tranny 2wd or transfer case 4wd near the output shaft. Disconnect the neg on the battery when your messing with the wires fix any bare or broken wires you find and take the connectors apart and look for corrosion or melted connections. Take your time and be thorough and it is best to use shrink tubing to seal any repairs you do and solder any broken wires you find for a permanent fix. Usually wires around exhaust pipes or manifolds are the culprit be sure to clamp or zip tie any wires as far away as you can get them.
