i am currently trying to swap the transmission on my 1995 ranger, it is a 2.3 and i believe that it is a 4r44e transmission, anyways i was at the junkyard today and i found a tranny from a 98 3.0 which is aperantly the same 4r44e
i began removing my old transmission today and after draining i took of the starter as i took it off i realized that it is mounted on the passenger side and the transmission i got has the mounting on the driver side. is this a big issue? do i have to take the transmission back and look for another one or can i just use this one and mount the starter on the other side also is the bolt pattern the same or am i screwd?
