I've got a 95 ranger reg cab with the 4.0L engine and 5 speed manual tranny. While at a Captain D's drive threw, the clutch went out. By went out, I mean when I let off the clutch, nothing happens. It doesn't go dead, but it doesn't move either. I assume the clutch is shot. You could sorta smell the tale tale scent of clutch but nothing really strong.
She's got 170,000 miles on the odometer. Been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Looking for recommendations on what to do here. It ain't worth a lot so I don't want to spend a lot getting her back up to speed. I've worked on a few things but have never replaced a clutch.
Btw, its silver and I routinely scream, "hiho silver, away" or refer to it as the "lone ranger"! (you older folks will get that)
Thanks,
