95 ford ranger 4.0 xlt got feedback coming through subwoofers

When I bought the truck it already had aftermarket radio speakers and subs and it everything worked fine nothing wrong but I pulled the subs and amp out because they didn't hit that hard I didn't like them and now I decided to put some different subs and amp and they're hooked it all up and I have feedback engine noise coming through my subs any ideas can anyone help

Amp is just doing what it is suppose to do, amplify sound.
So either the signal source(head unit) is sending it low frequency noise(assuming crossover being used) or that wire is not shielded and is picking up the noise from other wires it is running next to.

Could be a amp's power supply as well but they are usually isolated, worth checking out though.

Generally your speakers are just running 5 to 30watts at most, so you often won't hear a weaker "noise" thru these.
If you use a high wattage sub amp then even weak noise can be heard.

How watts work,
10 watts is very loud within 5ft of a speaker
20 watts is NOT twice as loud as 10 watts, it is 1/10 louder

100 watts is twice as loud as 10 watts
And 1,000 watts is twice as loud as 100 watts

So to get twice as loud you need 10 TIMES more wattage.

200 watts is way more wattage that needed in a truck cab, so save your money
