i ran into a very good deal, a 95 Explorer rear end for about $200 So im planning on sticking it in my 85 ranger (7.5). I already know about the spring perches and possibly shock mounts having to be flipped and or relocated, but is there anything else i should be aware of before installing it. It has disc brakes but ive heard of the stock master cylinder working fine and not needing to be switched out, im more concerned about the parking brake, the drums had the hole drilled in them with the lil clip that kept it in and then the cable going into whole brake mechanism is the disc brake somthing similar or so i need to modify the original parking brake cable? anything else im overlooking and should be concerned about?

use the explorer cable

you also need an explorer or '90 or newer axle flange (the part the U joint goes in that bolts to the axle flange)
