Will a 95-96 4x4 4.0L tranny swap directly into a 94 4x4 4.0L?

it should.if in the least you may just have to swap tail housings
the primary difference is the 94s speedometer is gear driven cable speedometer. and the 95-97 are gear driven electro sensor speedometer.
if the gears are the same you shouldnt have to do a thing.

Well the gears probably will be different then, but thats no biggy I've been driving my other car for 2 years without a speedo lol But otherwise great news.
