Rebuilt entire front end on my truck. New everything. Got it all back together and it seems the steering box is done, ton of play in the steering wheel. Thought it might be the rag joint but it still looks good. I pulled everything out today and it's definitely the steering box. No big deal can get a new on. The problem I am having is I can't get the pitman arm off of it. Puller won't budge it. I also can't seem to find one online for a stock 4x4. The stock one has about a 2" offset. I can find all kinds of them that have a 3" offset for "lifts". Can I use one of these even though the truck isn't lifted?

Use two fairly heavy hammers, and strike at the same time on opposite sides of the pitman arm where the steering shaft passes thru. If possible, the pitman arm puller should be installed and have pressure applied.
If the steering box is fubar, you can give it a good whack with just one hammer. But if you're keeping the box one hammer can cause problems with bearings.
