Hy, I am currently working out the wireing on my 95 4.0 to my b2.
Interior lights radio turn signals break lights all working, but I can't get the key to fire the motor over, and when jumped at the starter solinoid I get no spark.
If anyone has any knowledge on the 95 4.0 ignition system please help me out, I'm sure I'm within 2-4 wires of having the motor run, but so far I'm just running in circles.

Need more info.....

Did you swap dashes, steering columns or whatever else may fall in this category?

do you have the alternator wired up right on the 4.0 motors the ignition control doesnt get the signal to spark untill it checks that the alternator is there and operating

The alternated appears to be hooked up corectly, do you know how I can check it to be sure it's functioning?
And I have power going to the coil pack, just no spark at the plugs

The '95 doesnt care if there is an alternator. It will run without those wires even in the truck. My first test fire of my SOHC running on '95 OHV electronics was done before I even built the alt harness.

Do you have power to the ICM and PCM?

The PCM has power, and of the 4 wires that go to the icm 3 have power, is it possible to check to see if the icm is bad, and if I have power going to it, it should throw some spark correct?

The ICM has a 12 pin connector. IIRC only 11 of them have wires. What are you talking about that has 4 wires and 3 of them have + voltage?

O, I was thinking for some reason the icm was the coil pack that has 4 wires going to it, I know this is a dumb question, but what and where is the ICM?

On the '95 its tucked up behind the battery. (behind the drivers side headlight.) Google "EDIS-6 module" and you'll see what it looks like.

On the 95 the EDIS is built in the computer, according to the wire diagram for 95 4.0.
If the crank angle sensor is off 180deg it would still send spark correct?

No it isnt. Ford still used a separate EDIS module in '95. Its on the rad support, behind the battery. Trust me on that one. I completely rebuilt the harness on my '95 to run an '01 SOHC, I have way too much time around a '95 harness.

Do you have the EDIS module? IIRC it plugs into the main engine compartment harness, not the actual engine harness.

Yup. (But thats almost impossible to do.) The EDIS doesnt care where the sensor is, as long as it gets a signal it will fire.... maybe not at the right time, but you didnt ask that.
