Super cab same as my truck basically. but it's a 3.0 5 speed 2 wheel drive. 208 on the od, Do I even want to look at this? I sent him an email it's a dealer that deals sells low priced vehicles he says the frame is "okay"

I do love the super cab but I really don't need four wheel drive and all the headaches that go with it I just need a vehicle for the highways which this would be. I do understand the 3.0 can be high mileage engine and there should be plenty of them around, if necessary, just asking for thoughts!

still busy with boat restoration!

200k+ on a 25 year old truck... and they want 2,000 bucks for it? that isn't horrible if it is in decent shape and the frame is solid. if the frame is saltine cracker construction... hard pass. see if they will take 1700 for it if it checks out.

AJ

typo in the title line he has it at $1300
I may go check it out!

Pre 98 frames were more hardy then later ones or so i hear.

But a running, driving 4wd for 1300? Id be on it as long as it aint rotted in half.

I think I will go see it!

it's 2-wheel drive,

I have a 4- wheel drive

Was pea green a stock color?

Yes thats a factory color.

Looks like a sharp lil truck.

That color is called cayman green, it was used 93-97 on the rangers. My 94 is the same color.

1300 bucks is not bad for that truck... paint looks good, even the wheels are not peeling (for some reason, every Ranger I see with those wheels the silver paint is peeling off) Check out the normal Ranger rust points (spring hangers and cross members) and if all is well go for it.

my 93 4x4 was cayman green, loved that color. there was quite a few gen 3’s in the area that same color. sounds like a decent deal, just look at rear spring hangers and front core support (lower) for rust.

I just started driving my '97 2.3L manual extended cab 4x2 this week and I'm liking it... I got used to the turbo 2.3L or 5.0L so a N/A 2.3L seems gutless now but after a few days isn't too bad, a 3.0L would be a bit better :), hoping for 25mpg though...

That price at a dealer isn't bad, I had to do some work on mine so it was half that but I put most of a weekend into it...

I got my 97 for $500. 157,000 miles. Dirty interior, bad pinion bearing, big dent in bed. But, has a new battery, recent tune up, very good tires. Swapped in an 8.8 with 4.10s, new/used seats, tinted the windows, stereo & speakers, replaced the flag mirrors with bigger factory mirrors, swapped all the bulbs for leds. Im in it for about $1100.
