Hi everyone! I have a 95 ranger 4 cylinder xlt rwd. It has close to 300,000 miles on it. The engine is sluggish at low rpms and struggles to move the truck, when I am about halfway through a gear(manual/stickshift) the engine starts to run like normal. When I shift it is sluggish again. When it almost gets back to producing power the engines surges a little between sluggish and full power(hope that makes sense). I have also had the truck cut off on me when braking hard and in neutral. It also backfires if I switch gears and stomp on the gas. I have changed the fuel filter, recently did plugs and wires, and replaced the 2 coil packs. Any ideas? TIA!
