94 w/ factory dual ignition

I'm looking at a 1994 standard cab short bed 2x4 with the 2.3. Guy is selling it for his buddy who is overseas. Thing is, he is advertising it has a factory dual ignition set-up (8 spark plugs). He didn't say it made extra power or got better mpg, or any other claims. He just said it was really rare.

Anyone heard of this??? Whats the deal on it? Not sure if I should even think about this truck now. Let me know. Thanks.

Lots of four cylinder Ranger's rolled off the line with 8 plugs.

It's the way they were -all- made for several years. Mine's exactly the same.

Thanks for the responds guys. They weren't willing to come down in price enough for me to buy it. Guess they'll find someone else. I found a nice 4.0 5-speed for a good deal instead. Just have to pick it up, and wash it.

ALL 2.3's made after 1989 had dual plug ignition there is nothing even remotely rare about it, as that is the only way they were made

Well how many 1994 Ranger's with 2.3l dual ignition engines does this guy have?

I am betting only 1, so ONE OF A KIND

And that my friends IS RARE
