I replaced my original plugs with Delco R44LTS plugs and the engine is running rough. I noticed that the Delcos are gapped @50 whereas the tag under the hood calls for 52-56 gap for factory setting. Anyone ever used dikfferent type plugs have an issues with that?

That small difference wouldn't be noticeable. It's more likely a spark plug wire got crossed, or damaged from pulling it off, or its not popped on all the way

Once you have confirmed that everything about the install is good do a search on spark plugs. Most folk here think that using Autolight or Motorcraft is the way to go.

Thanks for all the advice, I double checked the plug gaps and the wiring and realized that the reference manual was a smaller V6 engine and the order of wires on the coil were different. No real excuse except I'd been working too many issues trying to get the ranger back to life. Thanks for making slow down and pay more attention to detail.

Thanks for the followup!
