You have to relocate the oil filter, same as you do with a 302.

See it's your first post so a Welcome also! 351 runs into a lot of the same problems as the 302/5.0. But by the increased size creates other problems that will creep up. Headers are the most problem. Jump in and throw them questions out.

Thought I would throw this in to help out. Get a relocation oil filter kit that looks something like this http://www.ekeystonemax.com/images/00/PartImages/F28/m-6881-c100.jpg. I'm not saying this one, but one that has the ports facing the front of the truck.
