Just discovered this forum. Noob to the Ranger game. Was previously a OBS guy but had to downsize due to "life". My Ranger is bone stock. Looking to do leveling coils up front to level the ride. How big of a tire can I go with 15x8 Cragars? What's the best offset? Feel free to swamp this post with pictures of your rides if you have my generation truck.

This is the starting point. Bone stock. Not sure whether to lift it and throw some big tires on it or keep it low and throw on a street tire, wide wheel setup. Post pictures of y'alls rides. Give me some ideas.

Nice truck Mike. Welcome to TRS
I think a good starting point would be on the door label for recommended tire size, some call for 235s, some say 265

OBS = Old Briggs & Stratton???

Welcome.

Welcome.
OBS refers to old body style. Basically any old school F150, F250, or F350. I've owned 3 different OBS trucks. Here's a pic of my last one. It was a 97 7.3 Powerstroke. Love these old trucks.

thanks. That was new to me. I’ve had an 88 F150 4x4 SC long bed and a 90 F350 crew cab dually 7.3l diesel. Loved both of them.

Awesome man. I've always loved OBS trucks. That's when Ford made REAL trucks. Just my opinion. You have a Ranger now?

It's my tow truck.
557 BBF,aluminum heads, Holley 4bbl small cam,and headers.
7000lbs with driver. 14.6 in the quarter and 33mpg---11 in town,11 highway, and 11 towing.

No pictures of the Ranger yet, it's at my sons.
He has the engine and transmission out and is pulling the engine and transmission out of my 86 T-Burd.
He will bring them to me shortly.
