I have a 94 ford ranger v6 3.0 4x4 with approx 113k miles and it is giving me problems. For starters it is shuddering around 2800rpms and not accelerating very well. This is under all situations, under load, straightaways and so on. The truck has been great for me all these years but this is driving me crazy. I have changed the tranny and transfer case fluid thinking that could be the problem but thats not it. The reason it made me think to do this is because about 30% of the time it is hard to get into first and second gear. I have cleaned the MAF and the IAC with MAF cleaner and to no avail. I have also unplugged the MAF to see if this changed the problem but it really only seemed to get worse if anything. It is also losing a small amount of coolant with no external indications. I have also replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires, oil, oil filter, air filter which only helped temporarily. Please help. This also does not allow me to get up to highway speeds i have to stay around 55MPH in between 3rd and 4th gears to stay at that speed.
