I have read plenty and have had mine apart for over a week not able to get new belt to go on. I really need someone who has had this problem before to give me the simple answer of what I am doing wrong and why its just not going on. I cant stand it anymore

You have the truck apart and the belt won't go on...is that correct?

Did you pull slide the tensioner back and lock it in place or are you trying to get it over the tensioner? The belt itself will go on quite easily over the cam, crank, and oil pulleys...but if the tensioner is not backed off it simply won't go on...without excessive force...

Maybe post a picture of the front of the engine if possible...this really is not difficult to do (timing belt or posting pictures) but if you are doing either for the first time it can be a bit of a challenge...

Pictures will help a great deal!

Edit: OK, saw your other thread...looks like you got the belt on but had to swap it out...
