'94 ranger rough idle

Truck shakes and sputters when shifting down into first or when at idle. Once it even stalled out at cold start. I changed all 8 spark plugs and added STP fuel additive,because it sat for a while, and it stopped for a week but has now has started.

Well , you ran through that tank of gas. When was this last tuneup and filter change ,etc?

Switch the coil packs around, if it runs better or worse then that's at least part of your problem. Replace as necessary.

IAC would be the first suspect, vacuum leak and/or fuel filter.
