Hi everybody,

Been searching the local classifieds for some new summer rims and found these.
They're off a '94 Ranger - I've got a '98 B2500, 2WD.

I've bought a set of winter steelies before that had the 11 hole pattern and ran into problems when putting them on, the centre hole was too small. I bored them out and they work now.
I don't want to do that for alloys - Does anyone have experience on this? I've asked for a measurement from the seller but haven't heard anything yet.

Thanks!

Alright - Bad news.

The rims have a 2.5" centre hole, I need 2.75" = an extra 1/8" off the radius.

2 Questions: Is it okay to machine an alloy rim? Is it a mess, or worth it?
I've never had alloys, are these cleanable?

Thanks everybody!!!

Oh yeah, it's fine. 1/8" of an inch off either side isn't gonna kill an alloy.

Alot of that is done with the Jeep rims. can't remember which way it goes (Ford onto Jeep or Jeep onto Ford), but they bore the centers out all the time.

Local machine shop should be able to take care of it.

Those must be 14" rims.

Any RBV 15" rim should fit without having to open up the center hole at all. Like said though, there's no harm in machining them out a little.
