got the egr code for stickin open no dual plug inhibitor code and 1.2.3.4 circut failure.

replaced all new coils wires and plugs as well as mass air. was sitting at a buddys shop clueless on what the last 2 codes could be and this man that was there looked at me and said replace my ignition moduel under my engine next to my intake manifold and the grey box on the passanger side firewall of the truck that has 2 hoses that go to it with a plug.

figured id ask yaall before part swappin.

the truck starts and runs fine but at random has symptoms of spark cut thats severe and will kill the motor then the motor will turn back on.

inputs or suggestions?
also would anyone know where the 2 hoses that go off the grey box off the passanger side firewall connect to? and what that box is called?

thanks

first, what are the code numbers? second, test things before replacing! that gets expensive. the grey box is called a DPFE, the 2 hoses go to the exhaust manifold. it get pressure readings from either side the tube going from the manifold to the EGR valve. It tell the computer if the valve is open basically.

You can test the ICM for free at most auto parts stores. have them test it a few times in a row to get it hot. Usually when the DPFE fails you get code 327 or 337. anything else, i'd try cleaning the EGR valve and the ports going into the throttle body and the EGR tube itself. Unfortunately there is no test I know of for the DPFE, and it's a common failure item.

i did i had them on a modus scanner, i should of wrote the code numbers im honostly an idiot for not doing it because it would be a week or two.
are dpfe hoses just vaccume and whats the correct routing for them?

would a dpfe cause random stalling at low throttle and also cause the code of coil circut failure 1,2,3,4?
as stated i have new plugs (8) wires (8) coils (2) as well as a new crank sensor and all new fuel delivery fuel filter pump sending unit injectors exc.

i hate parts swapping but whats the funcion of this dpfe and has it have any relation to my stalling issue as in half throttle the motor dies for a few seconds like it would be a spark cut? and would my ignition moduel also route to that problem?.
ill youtube a video tomorrow of the motor and link it for everyone to listen to.
its very weird

also anyone know the dpfe voltage?

The running problems are more than likely associated with the ignition system codes. the truck will run fine with the EGR system not functioning. The hoses are a silicone based hose, vacuum line will fall apart in a day due to the high temperatures. I'll look later at the orientation of the 2.
